Can you sense how much my children were enjoying a feeling of cooperation and excitement at the idea of a family photo op? And, yes, that is snow on the mountain behind us.
Steve's amazing sister, Sam, who organized this year's reunion and used her time share connections to secure a great room for us at a very low price. We all had a great time and really enjoyed hanging out with our extended family. Rachel especially enjoyed hanging out with Sam's 12 year old granddaughter.
Nathan's foot was really bothering him. Steve offered to stay back and miss out on the hike to Cascade Falls. When the pressure was off, Nathan dealt with the discomfort and made it to the Falls in a leisurely manner.
Can you further sense a 12-year-old's enthusiasm for spending time with her mother?
The thrill of accomplishment.
Enjoying it while it lasts. We had a fabulous view of Fallen Leaf Lake and Lake Tahoe from the top of the Falls. How Great Thou Art kept flowing through my mind as we walked through mountains, beaches, and meadows. Tahoe is a beautiful and inspiring place.
Resting and Refueling. We had a great time hiking with Tamie and Carson. The Falls are just to Steve's left in this picture. With the spring snow, the Falls were abundant and refreshing. Everyone except me and Tamie sipped from the clear mountain waters. I still think they're crazy, but the kids assure me it's "the best tasting water ever."
It's important to be "cool" at all times and in all places.

Gotta love it as they get older and don't want to be as cooperative for pictures. Marlee get's that way often! Looks gorgeous up there in Tahoe.
It looks like you guys had fun except for the sickness. That hike sounds nice. We will have to find out more about it. I really want to start hiking and exploring more again. I love all the pictures and Rachel just cracks me up. It is awesome that she found that $5 bill...I guess beach combing pays off.
The picture of Nathan and Sherrie hugging is super cute! It looks like you had a lot of fun. We're looking forward to doing the Zion's Camp thing. Hopefully it can work out with Dave's schedule. Let us know what's going on with the dates and details!
