Daddy Daughter Dinner

Rachel and Steve are working on "How much do you know about your dad/daughter questionnaire." They also competed in a three-legged race, guessed whose nose was whose, and played two truths and a lie.

Rachel and her friend Eliani chose to organize a Daddy Daughter Dinner for the 8-11 year old girls in our ward to fulfill a Faith in God for Girls Requirement. They worked hard decorating, inviting, and planning. It was a thrill to watch them from the car dressed up like little mini-missionaries in their Sunday clothes as they approached doors to deliver the invitations. They went to every girl's home, active or not, who was on the Primary roles. They were nervous but resolute. They took turns deciding who would take the lead. It reminded me of the days when their mothers were doing similar things together in their role as Relief Society leaders. It was exciting to see them take their first steps on a lifelong road of building the kingdom.
